TOCA STUDENT · Lesson 03 · Tarraxo and feeling

Slow is not a lack of level in tarraxo. It is the test

Slowness reveals everything speed hides. Your balance. Your weight transfer. Your control. If a movement only works fast, you do not own it yet, you are just getting away with it.

Dawou Tarraxo, pioneer of Tarraxo. Slow is not a lack of level in tarraxo. It is the test

Take one figure you think you know and dance it at half speed tonight. Every transition should be felt, and you should be able to stop at any instant without wobbling.

The finest dancers I know still go back to the foundations. That is not humility, it is method.

Slowness reveals tarraxo technique instead of hiding it.
