TOCA STUDENT · Lesson 13 · Kizomba technique

Good posture in kizomba is not a frozen position

Picture a thread pulling you from the crown of your head toward the ceiling. You grow tall without stiffening. Shoulders melt down, sternum open, lower back calm. Knees soft and never locked, because they are your shock absorbers. The weight drops into the middle of the foot.

Dawou Tarraxo, pioneer of Tarraxo. Good posture in kizomba is not a frozen position

Grounding is not heaviness. It is availability. If someone gives you a gentle push, you absorb it instead of tipping over.

Test it now. Walk while keeping exactly the same easy breathing.

Posture is the base of every kizomba, tarraxo and urbankiz movement.
